Enterprise platform for private AI
The shared platform has two Intel Xeon 6530P processors, each with 32 cores, a 2.3 GHz base frequency, 144 MB L3 cache and a 225 W rating. The combined 64 CPU cores and 256 GB DDR5-5600 system memory support data preparation, application services, databases and GPU workloads. System memory is separate from GPU memory.
The server includes an H965i front-mounted RAID controller, a BOSS-N1 controller with two 480 GB M.2 drives for boot storage, and two Dell 3.84 TB 12 Gb/s SSDs for data. Usable storage depends on the selected RAID configuration. Dual-port 10 GbE RJ45 networking, iDRAC10 Enterprise, dual 3,200 W power supplies and a rack kit complete the specified platform.
Two GPUs with 192 GB aggregate GPU memory
Two 96 GB GPUs provide 192 GB of aggregate device memory. Run separate model services or use a framework that explicitly supports splitting the chosen workload across GPUs. The cards do not automatically become one unified 192 GB device; scaling depends on the application, model and communication overhead. Dell’s supported R770 configuration limits each RTX PRO 6000 to 450 W.
Possible AI workloads
Use a private document assistant to retrieve information from an access-controlled knowledge base; serve language models for classification, extraction or internal APIs; adapt supported models with PEFT techniques; or build computer-vision and speech-processing pipelines. GPU-accelerated engineering and simulation are further possibilities where the application vendor supports this GPU. Capacity and performance depend on the software, model precision, context length, batch size and concurrent usage. Select representative workloads and agree acceptance checks for the intended deployment.
Custom build, condition and warranty
The Dell PowerEdge R770 chassis is refurbished and may show rack marks or cosmetic wear. The NVIDIA GPUs are new. This is a custom build, with the GPU-specific Dell power cabling and integration included in the supplied configuration. The assembly specification follows Dell’s supported riser, HPR Platinum cooling, firmware and cable requirements for the installed GPU count. Dell specifies Ubuntu 24.04.02 with kernel 6.11 or later for this GPU configuration.
The refurbished server and core components carry a five-year return-to-base warranty. Drives carry one year. New PNY GPUs carry a separate three-year limited manufacturer warranty. These component-specific terms accompany the order. OEM photographs illustrate the equipment; bezel layout, drive-bay appearance and refurbished cosmetics may vary.

What are the deposit and balance amounts?
- A 70% EFT deposit is accepted, with the 30% balance on delivery. For one GPU, the deposit is R885,500 and the balance R379,500. For two GPUs, the deposit is R1,127,000 and the balance R483,000. These amounts include VAT. Use the order’s payment reference and the verified banking instructions supplied with your order.
How long does delivery take?
- The advertised delivery lead time is 4–5 weeks. Plan your facilities and application work around that window, and record the delivery arrangements for your location in the order confirmation. A quotation request itself does not reserve hardware or start an order.
Is the whole server new?
- The Dell PowerEdge R770 chassis is refurbished and may have rack marks or other cosmetic wear. The NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs are new. The Dell photograph is an OEM illustration; drive layout and refurbished cosmetics may vary.
What warranty applies?
- The server has a five-year return-to-base warranty and drives have a one-year warranty. The new PNY GPUs have a separate three-year limited manufacturer warranty. These are separate cover periods, rather than one blanket warranty for every component. The order documents set out the applicable cover and claim terms.
Where can I buy this AI server?
- You can buy either R770 configuration directly on Server Hub: open the product page and use Add to Cart. A formal quotation is optional if your procurement process requires one. Include the model you want to run, expected concurrent users, context length, preferred software stack and delivery location so the proposed configuration can be checked against your intended use.
