This Privacy Policy explains how Server Hub — a trading division of Fibre Boyz (Pty) Ltd — collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use serverhub.co.za or place an order.
We are committed to compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

1. The information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, phone number, delivery address(es), and (for business accounts) company name and VAT number.
- Order information: items purchased, payment method used, delivery instructions, communication history.
- Site analytics: anonymised pageviews, device class, referrer, and rough geographic region (city-level).
- Support history: the contents of any email, WhatsApp, or call interaction you initiate.
We do not store your card or banking details. Card payments are processed by our payment gateways (PayFast, Yoco), each of which is PCI-DSS certified.
2. Why we collect it (POPIA: lawful purpose)
- To fulfil your order, configure your hardware, ship it, and support it during the warranty period.
- To verify identity for high-value transactions (anti-fraud).
- To send transactional email — order confirmations, despatch notifications, warranty reminders.
- To send marketing email — only if you opt in. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe.
- To improve the Site (anonymised analytics).
3. Who we share it with
- Couriers (Courier Guy, Fastway, white-glove partners) — name, delivery address, phone for delivery only.
- Payment processors (PayFast, Yoco) — only what they need to clear the transaction.
- Email infrastructure (transactional email through our SMTP provider) — to deliver the messages above.
- Cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform, region us-east4) — where the Site and database live.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, ever.
4. How long we keep it
- Order records: 7 years (SARS retention rule).
- Account profile: until you ask us to delete it.
- Marketing list: until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics events: 26 months, then aggregated.
5. Your rights under POPIA
You can ask us, at any time, to:
- Show you what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that’s wrong.
- Delete your account and any data not retained for legal reasons (see §4 above).
- Stop using your data for direct marketing.
- Object to specific kinds of processing.
Email info@fibreboyz.co.za with the subject line "POPIA request" and we’ll respond within 30 days, as the Act requires.
6. Cookies & tracking
The Site uses cookies for (a) keeping you logged in, (b) remembering your cart, (c) anonymous analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser; the Site will still work but you’ll need to log in each visit.
7. Security
We use TLS 1.3 for every connection, hashed-and-salted password storage, role-based access for staff, and a Cloud SQL database with Google-managed encryption at rest. No system is invulnerable, but if there’s ever a breach affecting your data we’ll notify you and the Information Regulator inside 72 hours, as POPIA requires.
