Frequently asked questions

Are these genuine Windows keys or grey-market?

Genuine. Server Hub supplies real Microsoft licences — retail (FPP), OEM/DSP and IoT LTSC — with a tax invoice and local support, and full Consumer Protection Act cover. They activate on Microsoft’s own servers, unlike the cheap grey-market keys sold as “CD keys”, which Microsoft can and does deactivate.

Do I get a product key, and how do I activate it?

Yes. You receive a genuine Windows product key. Enter it under Settings → System → Activation, or during a clean install, and Windows activates against Microsoft’s servers. Retail keys can move to a new PC; OEM/DSP keys stay with the machine they first activate on.

What is the difference between Windows 11 Home and Pro?

Pro adds business features Home lacks: BitLocker drive encryption, joining a company domain, Remote Desktop host, Hyper-V and group policy. For a home PC, Home is enough; for a work machine or anything on a business network, choose Pro.

How much is Windows 11 Pro in South Africa?

Server Hub sells genuine Windows 11 Home and Pro licences priced in rand and shown live in the table on this page — genuine Microsoft licences with local support, not grey-market keys.

Can I upgrade Windows 11 Home to Pro?

Yes — buy a Pro licence and enter the key under Settings, Activation, and Windows upgrades in place without a reinstall. Your apps and files stay put.
