A 7.68TB SATA SSD in the 2.5-inch form factor on a 6Gbps SATA interface.

It fits standard 2.5-inch SATA bays; check that your controller supports SATA drives of this capacity. Most server RAID controllers accept SATA drives, as do plain SATA ports. In an existing array, keep new disks at the same capacity, speed and interface as their neighbours. Flash drives like this suit boot volumes, virtual machine datastores and database logs, where access time matters more than raw capacity. Solid-state drives wear with writes, so match the endurance class to the workload: read-heavy volumes suit read-intensive drives, busy databases suit mixed-use ones. Once a replacement is fitted, the RAID controller rebuilds the array onto it, and larger drives take longer to rebuild. Keeping a spare drive per array shortens the time an array runs degraded after a failure.

As a certified refurbished drive, it is inspected, bench-tested and data-wiped by our Johannesburg team before release.
