This NVIDIA Tesla V100 has 32GB of HBM2 memory.
It fits a standard PCIe slot with suitable power and cooling. Passively cooled cards like this need the airflow of a server built for accelerators. It is a data-centre accelerator for compute, rendering and virtual desktop work, with no display outputs to drive. Shared across virtual desktops, one card can serve several users, within the maker’s licensing terms. Compute frameworks use the card through the maker’s driver and toolkit rather than a display driver. Make sure the power supply can carry the card as well as everything else in the machine. Accelerators like this belong in servers built with GPU risers, power cabling and airflow for them. Before fitting, confirm the slot width, auxiliary power and cooling your chassis provides. Keep driver versions within the host operating system’s supported list. Check whether the card needs auxiliary power cabling as well as slot power, and that the chassis has it. The card’s memory sets the size of model or dataset it can hold at once.
Our Johannesburg team inspects and bench-tests the part before it is released as certified refurbished.
