Intel Xeon Platinum 8352M 32-Core 2.30GHz Server Processor

The Intel Xeon Platinum 8352M has 32 cores and 64 threads, a 2.30GHz base clock with boost to 3.50GHz, 48MB of cache and a 185W TDP. Part of the 3rd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors line, it uses FCLGA4189 and addresses up to 6TB of memory at 3200MHz DDR4.

In most dual-socket servers the second processor also brings its own memory channels and expansion lanes into play. Its S-spec, SRKYF, pins down the exact stepping. As a Platinum-tier part it is aimed at large databases and dense virtualisation. Dual-socket servers need two of the same model; the server's processor support list and BIOS level decide whether this one is accepted. With simultaneous multithreading enabled, it presents 64 threads to the operating system. Boost clocks apply when thermal and power headroom allow; the base clock is the sustained figure. Clean off old thermal compound and apply fresh paste when fitting it. A 185W processor needs a heatsink rated for its power, and higher-TDP parts may need the server’s high-performance heatsink.
