The Intel Xeon Gold 6558Q has 32 cores and 64 threads, a 3.20GHz base clock with boost to 4.10GHz, 60MB of cache and a 350W TDP. Part of the 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors line, it uses its platform socket and addresses up to 4TB of memory at 5200MHz DDR5.
A Gold-tier chip suits mainstream virtualisation and database hosts. Dual-socket servers need two of the same model; the server's processor support list and BIOS level decide whether this one is accepted.
