Intel Xeon Gold 6548Y 32-Core 2.50GHz Server Processor

With 32 cores (64 threads) at a 2.50GHz base clock, boosting to 4.10GHz, the Intel Xeon Gold 6548Y carries 60MB of cache and is rated at 250W. Part of the 5th Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors line, it uses its platform socket and addresses up to 4TB of memory at 5200MHz DDR5.

With simultaneous multithreading enabled, it presents 64 threads to the operating system. Boost clocks apply when thermal and power headroom allow; the base clock is the sustained figure. Apply fresh thermal paste each time the processor is seated. A 250W processor needs a heatsink rated for its power, and higher-TDP parts may need the server’s high-performance heatsink. A second socket populated means a second set of memory channels and expansion lanes becomes usable. Its S-spec, SRN6Q, pins down the exact stepping.
