The Intel Xeon Gold 6222V has 20 cores and 40 threads, a 1.80GHz base clock with boost to 3.60GHz, 27.5MB of cache and a 115W TDP. Part of the 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors line, it uses Socket 3647 and addresses up to 1TB of memory at 2400MHz DDR4.
With simultaneous multithreading enabled, it presents 40 threads to the operating system. Boost clocks apply when thermal and power headroom allow; the base clock is the sustained figure. Clean off old thermal compound and apply fresh paste when fitting it. A 115W processor needs a heatsink rated for its power, and higher-TDP parts may need the server’s high-performance heatsink.
