This Intel Xeon E5-4610 v3 runs 10 cores at 1.70GHz (up to 1.70GHz on boost), with 25MB of cache in a 105W power envelope. Part of the Intel server line, it uses LGA2011 3 and addresses up to 768GB of memory.
Per-core software licensing makes core count a cost decision as well as a performance one. With simultaneous multithreading enabled, it presents 20 threads to the operating system.
