This Intel Xeon E5-2637 v3 runs 4 cores at 3.50GHz (up to 3.70GHz on boost), with 15MB of cache in a 135W power envelope. Part of the Intel Xeon E5-2600 V3 Processors line, it uses LGA2011 3 and addresses up to 768GB of memory at 2133MHz DDR4.
Per-core software licensing makes core count a cost decision as well as a performance one. With simultaneous multithreading enabled, it presents 8 threads to the operating system. Boost clocks apply when thermal and power headroom allow; the base clock is the sustained figure. Clean off old thermal compound and apply fresh paste when fitting it.
