The Intel Xeon E5-2623 v4 has 4 cores and 8 threads, a 2.60GHz base clock with boost to 3.20GHz, 10MB of cache and a 85W TDP. Part of the Intel Xeon E5-2600 V4 Processors line, it uses LGA2011 3 and addresses up to 1.5TB of memory at 2133MHz DDR4.
Per-core software licensing makes core count a cost decision as well as a performance one. With simultaneous multithreading enabled, it presents 8 threads to the operating system.
