The Intel Xeon Bronze 3204 has 6 cores and 6 threads, a 1.90GHz base clock with boost to 1.90GHz, 8.25MB of cache and a 85W TDP. Part of the 2nd Generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors line, it uses Socket 3647 and addresses up to 1TB of memory at 2133MHz DDR4.
Adding a second processor also opens up the memory channels and PCIe lanes attached to that socket. Its S-spec, SRFBP, pins down the exact stepping. Silver and Bronze tiers are economical choices for general-purpose and storage servers. Dual-socket servers need two of the same model; the server's processor support list and BIOS level decide whether this one is accepted.
