Configured as a tower workstation, this Dell Precision T7820 combines two Intel Xeon Silver 4214R processors (12 cores each, 2.40GHz base clock) with 64GB of DDR4 memory. For storage it carries a 2TB 7.2K SATA hard drive and a 512GB NVMe SSD (2.51TB combined), occupying one bay of the 2-bay 3.5-inch chassis and leaving one free.
The build is rounded out by integrated SATA RAID, 1GbE networking (Intel I219) and a 950W power supply. The configuration also lists Windows 11 Pro as the listed operating system.
Professional graphics (NVIDIA RTX A4000) and 64GB make this a practical seat for engineering design, product visualisation and video work. Capacity can grow later by filling the free bays, without a change of chassis.
That is twice the memory of a lighter T7820 build, which matters most for virtual machines and caching. It has more cores than the lighter T7820 builds, so more work runs in parallel.
Sold as certified refurbished, the workstation passes inspection and a bench test, and has its storage wiped, in Johannesburg before release.
