24 1.92TB SAS SSDs populate this Dell PowerVault MD1420 2U storage array. That comes to 46.08TB of raw capacity with all bays of the 24-bay 2.5-inch chassis populated.
The enclosure is fitted with two SAS enclosure management modules and dual 600W power supplies. Also included: rack rails.
Use it to grow an existing server's storage: the two enclosure management modules connect the 24-bay 2.5-inch shelf to an external SAS port on the host. How much of the raw space is usable depends on the RAID level set across the 24 drives. With a redundant pair of supplies, each can sit on its own power circuit.
Where hard-disk builds of the MD1420 favour capacity, this one favours responsiveness with flash storage. It carries more raw storage than the smaller MD1420 configurations.
