Two 16-core Intel Xeon Gold 6426Y CPUs at 2.50GHz and 256GB of DDR5 power this Dell PowerEdge R760xa 2U rack server. It carries eight 1.92TB SAS SSDs for 15.36TB of raw capacity with all bays of the 8-bay 2.5-inch chassis populated.
A PERC H965I RAID controller with 8GB of cache, dual-port 10GbE RJ45 networking (Broadcom 57416) and dual 2800W power supplies complete the specification. You also get iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management and rack rails.
All-flash drives keep storage latency low, so the 32 cores and 256GB can be put to work on transactional databases, analytics or a dense set of virtual machines. Set up as RAID 10, the eight drives keep half their raw space and stay mirrored.
Memory here is twice that of a lighter R760xa configuration, leaving more headroom for memory-bound work. The Gold processors are a tier up from the entry R760xa builds.
