A 64-core AMD EPYC 7763 running at 2.45GHz and 512GB of DDR4 power this Dell PowerEdge R7515 2U rack server. The drive complement is 24 3.84TB SAS SSDs, 92.16TB before RAID with all bays of the 24-bay 2.5-inch chassis populated.
A PERC H740P RAID controller with 8GB of cache, dual-port 10GbE RJ45 networking (Broadcom 57416) and dual 1100W power supplies complete the specification. The configuration also lists iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management and rack rails.
All-flash drives keep storage latency low, so the 64 cores and 512GB can be put to work on transactional databases, analytics or a dense set of virtual machines. Set up as RAID 10, the 24 drives keep half their raw space and stay mirrored.
