The drive complement is eight 2.4TB 10K SAS hard drives, 19.2TB before RAID in eight bays of the 16-bay 2.5-inch chassis, so eight remain open for expansion.
A PERC H755 RAID controller with 8GB of cache, 2 × 10GbE SFP+ networking (Broadcom 57412) and dual 1400W power supplies complete the specification. The configuration also lists iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management and rack rails.
The capacity-first layout suits backup targets, media libraries and large file shares, where raw terabytes matter more than random I/O.
