This Dell PowerEdge R740xd is a 2U rack server built around two 8-core Intel Xeon Gold 6234 CPUs at 3.30GHz and 128GB of DDR4 RAM. It carries eight 1.92TB SAS SSDs for 15.36TB of raw capacity; 16 bays of the 24-bay 2.5-inch chassis are still free.
Around that sit a PERC H740P RAID controller with 8GB of cache, 2 × 1GbE RJ45 + 2 × 10GbE RJ45 networking (Intel X550) and dual 1100W power supplies. Also included: iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management and rack rails.
