Configured as a 2U rack server, this Dell PowerEdge R740 combines two 20-core Intel Xeon Gold 6230 CPUs at 2.10GHz with 128GB of DDR4. It carries 16 300GB 15K SAS hard drives for 4.8TB of raw capacity, filling every bay of the 16-bay 2.5-inch chassis.
The build is rounded out by PERC H740P hardware RAID (8GB cache), dual-port 10GbE RJ45 networking (Intel X550) and dual 1100W power supplies. The configuration also lists an iDRAC9 Enterprise licence for out-of-band management and a rack rail kit.
