Two AMD EPYC 7413 processors (24 cores each, 2.65GHz base clock) and 256GB of DDR4 RAM power this Dell PowerEdge R6525 1U rack server. The drive complement is ten 3.2TB NVMe SSDs, 32TB before RAID with all bays of the 10-bay 2.5-inch chassis populated.
PERC S150 software RAID, dual-port 25GbE SFP28 networking (Intel E810-XXVDA2) and dual 1400W power supplies complete the specification. Also included: iDRAC9 Enterprise remote management and rack rails.
All-flash drives keep storage latency low, so the 48 cores and 256GB can be put to work on transactional databases, analytics or a dense set of virtual machines. Set up as RAID 10, the ten drives keep half their raw space and stay mirrored. Remote management lets an administrator reach the console and hardware health even when the operating system is down.
