Dell Fan Module for PowerEdge R920 — P4HPY

Offered here is a fan module for PowerEdge R920, identified by Dell part number P4HPY.

Holding one as a spare keeps a repair from stalling on a small part. Parts like this differ between server generations even when they look alike, so go by the part number. A failed fan makes the rest spin faster and can raise thermal alerts. A matching fan module restores the airflow the chassis was designed around. Keeping every bay, fan and cover in place maintains the airflow the chassis was designed for. Handle it by the edges and keep it in anti-static packaging until it is fitted. Fan speed and faults are reported through the server’s management controller. The part number is printed on a label on the fitted part, which is the quickest way to confirm what a server already uses. Look-alike parts can differ in revision, and the Dell part number is what tells them apart. Check P4HPY against the service configuration of your Dell system before ordering.

This certified refurbished part has been inspected and bench-tested in Johannesburg.
